Industry Experience

Technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and transformation leadership across multiple industries and operating models.

Stephen's career spans founder-led businesses, global enterprises, regulated delivery environments, and technology-enabled services. The industries differ, but the recurring leadership challenge is consistent: scale technology, manage risk, enable growth, and build trust.

AI-driven technology-enabled services, built on a security and compliance foundation.

Technology-enabled services represent a delivery model, not a single vertical market — and today, AI sits at the center of that model rather than as an add-on. At Peak Support, Stephen built a revenue-generating CX Technology & AI Services practice, modernized data and reporting onto Microsoft Fabric, and proposed and helped stand up a Chief AI Officer operating model to scale AI governance and commercialization practices across a combined post-acquisition organization.

That work sits on top of the same certification stack (PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, ISO 27002) that makes AI adoption defensible for regulated, risk-conscious clients — governed AI tools, enterprise data boundaries, DLP controls, and audit logging, not AI bolted on after the fact.

This experience is directly relevant to organizations where technology is no longer a back-office function, but a driver of service quality, client confidence, operational leverage, and enterprise value.

Founder, CIO, and board-level operating experience across retail and commerce.

PCS Partners was a brick-and-mortar wireless retail and eCommerce business. As Co-Founder, CIO, and Executive Board Member, Stephen helped scale a multi-location telecommunications retail operation supported by technology-enabled sales, customer service, and eCommerce operating processes.

That operator experience carried forward: at Arvato, his work included technology and security across eCommerce and customer engagement environments serving telecommunications and retail clients; at ResultsCX, telecommunications client exposure through enterprise and regulated customer operations; and at Peak Support, a client portfolio that includes eCommerce and retail organizations requiring secure, scalable technology environments to support customer engagement, operational performance, and growth.

The throughline across all four: wireless retail, eCommerce, and carrier ecosystem dynamics on one side, and the technology foundation, compliance discipline, and platform reliability required to support growth on the other.

Technology and security leadership in regulated healthcare environments.

Stephen's healthcare experience spans Arvato, ResultsCX, and Peak Support environments supporting regulated healthcare operations, healthcare clients, and security-conscious service delivery.

At ResultsCX, this included building the compliance program healthcare clients required from the ground up — taking a company that had only PCI DSS and SOC 1 in place to SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and HiTRUST, the certification most specific to healthcare data handling.

Relevant themes include HIPAA- and HiTRUST-aligned operations, compliance oversight, privacy-sensitive workflows, audit readiness, identity and access discipline, regulated workforce enablement, and executive communication around risk.

At Peak Support, Stephen's technology and security leadership supports healthcare clients operating in environments where security, compliance, privacy, and operational resilience are business-critical requirements.

Technology support for logistics, distribution, and operational scale.

At Arvato, Stephen supported technology and security across logistics, supply chain, and fulfillment-oriented business units, where operational continuity, platform reliability, and data integrity directly affect business performance.

This experience contributes to a practical understanding of technology in operationally complex environments, including distributed sites, client commitments, workflow dependency, operational resilience, and systems reliability.

Technology in service of the customer experience, not the other way around.

Across ResultsCX and Peak Support, Stephen has supported technology environments serving healthcare, retail, eCommerce, telecommunications, financial services, technology, energy, and other enterprise sectors — all inside the customer experience and business services industry, where the product being delivered is the experience itself.

In that environment, it's easy for security, compliance, and platform work to become purely internal, technical exercises disconnected from what the business is actually selling. Stephen has consistently instilled the opposite discipline in his technology teams: let the customer experience lead how the team views technology decisions, and treat security, compliance, and platform reliability as what makes that experience trustworthy and durable at scale — not a constraint bolted on beside it. That balance, rather than either extreme, is the differentiator.

These roles required balancing security, client trust, compliance, workforce enablement, platform performance, global delivery, and operational scale — with the customer experience as the organizing principle, not an afterthought.

The transferable pattern across industries.
